Time to get creative

Okay, how can we raise some more cash without getting another job? (After all, I worked really hard to get Khubz and I'd be hard pressed to spend more time away from her.) Anyone ebay savvy? Two Shews, I heard you talk about Craig's list? Someone else told me about Treasure Troopers? We are planning a garage sale in the spring (thanks to the donated driveway space of some friends.)

Also welcome: cheap recipes that are not entirely dependant on sugar and white flour.

While we're at it, if anyone knows how to get me back to the gym, I'd welcome that advice too!

Ummmm... Money wise I have no idea.

Food though? I love food.

Pasta with sauted tomato, bacon, onion and mushrooms stirred through.

Risotto made with chicken stock, leeks and mushrooms (or whatever else you wanted to add).

Or are you looking for food you can sell.

Not food I can sell. Cheap eats for the family. I'm scared of making risotto. Isn't that one of those foods you can't take your eyes off?

How about quinoa in place of rice and/or pasta? It's super easy to cook, and has more protein in it so it's generally better for you.

Couple ideas - ask DZ at work b/c she knows a lot about ebay. And maybe your friends, family, and blog viewers would pitch in with your garage sale, donate items and give you whatever money results. I know I would. Lupe totally would rock as a big sister.

LH is right on about donating stuff for the yard sale. I think we have some pretty good stuff for the sale! Also the Ebay thing...friends and family can donate stuff for you to sell on Ebay. Again good stuff over here!

I'll help get you back to the gym if you want--I'll be your exercise buddy. Email me every morning with how you got some exercise for 30 minutes the previous day. I'll do the same. Doesn't matter what it is so long as you are in motion: the gym, a walk, dancing with Khobz...Doesn't have to be 30 minutes all at the same time. Once we got that going we can make it an hour. Deal?
